YourSpace, formerly known as the Gorham Sports Center, will re-open its doors this Saturday, March 1 under the new ownership of the Southern Maine Community Recreation Center (SMCRC), a non-profit all volunteer organization. “The generous community outpouring of support in both time and money repeatedly confirms that we did the right thing by keeping this place open,” says Adam Sturtevant, a board member of SMCRC. He continued, “It is all about the kids and the community at large, and we have never lost sight of that. Our mission is to provide a year round complex for sporting and recreational activities for all ages, and through our programs, strive to build strong kids, strong families, and strong communities.”

The SMCRC board is actively seeking donations of both time and money to insulate the building, which will greatly reduce the overhead expenses.
